Chip McAvoy, Vice President, Broker Technology Solutions

McAvoy is responsible for overseeing MarketLinx's overall technology and product integration strategy for Agent Achieveâ„¢, Lucero Summit and Transaction Manager, and directly manages the development teams for Lucero and Transaction Manager. He is also responsible for cross channel initiatives within First American, including certain products, new technology evaluation and partnering opportunities. Chip also represents Marketlinx in various trade association and industry technology initiatives.

Before joining MarketLinx, McAvoy was the Sr. Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Realty Plus Online, Inc., a real estate software solutions provider. As CTO, he managed the development of Fusion MLS, one of the first online MLS systems and CloseYourDeal, an online real estate transaction management system. McAvoy also oversaw the strategic planning for Realty Plus Online's efforts to promote key standards movements as well as the strategy for continued product expansion. His extensive experience in the development, delivery, and marketing of software products helped Realty Plus Online become a technology leader in the real estate industry.

As a former Vice President at PLATINUM Technology, Inc., McAvoy was responsible for the roll out and marketing of ProVision, PLATINUM's suite of systems and database management tools. Prior to joining PLATINUM, he spent eight years with IBM Corporation in various software development and management roles. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics/Computer Science from Humboldt State University and a Master's Degree in Computer Science Engineering from San Jose State University.
